After a prolonged break, depthCORE proudly releases version 3 of the site, and unveils two brand new packs, featuring nearly 70 artworks from your favourite abstract artists!

depthCORE is proud is present two spanking new packs in an extravagant double-release of Foundry for pack 5 and Essentia for pack 6. Our artists explore the juxtaposition of these two terms, with some amazing abstract the result. Featured artist for this double release is Tony Graf, one of our senior and most talented artists, and regular splash designer!

depthCORE would also like to give our deepest thanks and best wishes to Dagan Dewar (niytros) and Kevin Stacy (venox) for the incredible effort and dedication they have put in to the group in their administrative roles. Sadly, they will be departing from the depthCORE staff as they move on with Shiver7, a commercial multimedia and webdesign firm. They will, however, remain on in the group as artists.

With these developments, the depthCORE group went into a period of huge change. The site, as you will see has been redesigned, and also recoded from the ground up. The new administration team has stepped up in a big way to make this transition as smooth as possible, and I would like to deeply thank Brian Smith (alphakx), Vincent Lai (niteangel) and Geoff Byron (desolate) for all the hard work they have poured in to getting the group up and running again. Thanks are also in order for chris and the whole team at deviantART.com for their wonderful support and generous hosting.

So, as you can see, we've been busy little artists over at depthCORE. Please visit us and enjoy our double release, and look forward to our seventh pack 'REBIRTH', featuring a host of new artists, due out in early May.

That's a great intro you added to the site! Glad to see some new work, you guys do amazing stuff. I notice most of your pieces are in a portrait page format like they're being done for publication. Are you getting a lot of commercial jobs doing illustration for magazines or something?

Yeah, the intro page doesn't load for me... Just sits there. I have flash plugin etc. No loading going on... This is why sites should not rely entirely on flash
